Enterprise Capital Alliance – the Tech Alliance's initiative to create a regional pipeline for global corporate investment in Washington state. Our mission is to catalyze the connection between Washington's thriving entrepreneurial community and the venture investment, innovation, and strategic arms of Fortune 1000 companies. We achieve this through a range of resources, regional research, and networking events, including the highly successful Corporate Venture Connections Series program.

Our goal is to foster investments, collaborations, and best practices in enterprise capital that showcase the Pacific Northwest's robust technology capabilities.

By leveraging the reach of the Tech Alliance's board member companies, we're able to support founders across Washington State.

In 2022 the Tech Alliance won a grant from the US Economic Development Administration through the Build to Scale - Venture program to support a $1.3 million expansion of the ECA Corporate Venture Connections series over three years.

You can read about the announcement on Geekwire and learn more about the grant on the EDA website.

The Enterprise Capital Alliance benefits both enterprise investors and founders

Why attract enterprise capital to Washington?

Washington state has a thriving technology ecosystem that is home to some of the world's largest and most innovative technology companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Boeing. Washington ranks as the third-largest tech hub in the United States, after California and New York. This ecosystem has fostered a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, which has led to the creation of many successful startups in the state.

“The day of meetings with startups that the Technology Alliance organized for Meta was incredibly valuable for us. We met founders of startups in Seattle that we hadn't previously known about. The relationships that we formed through this program will likely result in new partnership and investment opportunities to help us advance our product development. We look forward to being involved in future initiatives with the TA and the Corporate Venture initiative.”

Our signature series:

Corporate Venture Connections Series

Corporate Venture Connections Series (CVCS) is a series of virtual events hosted by the ECA and designed to connect enterprise capital entities from across the US, to investment opportunities in the Washington state entrepreneurial ecosystem. The events feature a panel of enterprise capital investors who share their investment thesis with an audience of founders, service providers, VC investors and other stakeholders. The group, moderated by a leading founder or industry expert, then discusses the state of the industry and relevant investment news before entering breakout rooms for deeper discussion.

Entrepreneurs can then apply for a 1:1 meeting with the participating enterprise VCs. The ECA team vets the applications to match the enterprise capital investors with the Washington-based founders by screening for investment thesis fit, relevance, and traction.

The TA has partnered with Moonbeam Exchange, and is looking for additional enterprise capital investors for our program expansion.

Our next CVCS Event: CleanTech

The Corporate Venture Connections Series continues on May 14th, with a session focused on CleanTech, in partnership with the CleanTech Alliance. We will hear from investors at Climate Pledge Fund, BASF, and HG Ventures who will share their insights on the ever evolving landscape of CleanTech.

Washington state founders! You can apply for a 1:1 meeting with the participating investors, by filling out this short form by May 15th at 10pm PT. If you have any questions, reach out to ECA@technology-alliance.com
